Types of Events at SoFi Stadium
LA Rams & Chargers NFL Games
SoFi Stadium hosts about 20 NFL regular season games per year between the Rams and Chargers. Both teams play on a staggered schedule from September through January. Playoffs can extend into February.
Tip: Chargers home games typically have more available tickets closer to game day than Rams games. For Rams games against division rivals, buy as soon as they go on sale.
Major Concerts
Stadium-scale touring acts make SoFi Stadium their Los Angeles stop for the biggest shows in the country. Multiple-night runs by the same artist are common for peak-demand acts.
Tip: For multi-night concert runs, the first night often has better seat availability. Floor sections sell out first — lock in floor or field-level tickets immediately when they go on sale.
Super Bowl & Marquee Events
SoFi has hosted Super Bowl LVI in 2022 and will host events for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. WrestleMania, College Football Playoff games, and international soccer matches round out the marquee event calendar.
Tip: Super Bowl and Olympics tickets require early registration through official channels months in advance. Domestic and international resale markets spike 5 to 10 times face value for Super Bowl specifically.
FIFA World Cup 2026
SoFi Stadium is the Los Angeles host venue for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. 8 total matches including 6 group stage games and the Semifinal. Tournament runs June 11 through July 19, 2026.
Tip: World Cup parking requires the same pre-purchase as NFL games. Arrive 2+ hours early — international fans unfamiliar with the Hollywood Park campus slow entry compared to regular events.
2028 Summer Olympics
SoFi Stadium hosts the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony (July 14, 2028), Closing Ceremony (August 10, 2028), and track and field athletics events. Capacity expands to approximately 100,000 for ceremonies.
Tip: Register at LA28.org now — subscriber priority windows open first and provide the best chance of securing Opening Ceremony tickets before public lottery rounds.
Rams & Chargers Home Games at SoFi Stadium
SoFi Stadium is the only venue in the NFL where two teams share a market at the same level. The Rams play their 9 home games and the Chargers play their 9 home games on a staggered schedule from September through January. Both teams occasionally play Thursday or Monday night games that get nationally televised.
Rams games against NFC West rivals (Seattle, San Francisco, Arizona) and the Chargers games against AFC West rivals (Kansas City, Las Vegas, Denver) typically sell fastest. Weeknight prime-time games often have more last-minute ticket availability than weekend matinee games.
NFL game tickets are sold through each team's official platform. The Rams use Ticketmaster. The Chargers use SeatGeek. Secondary market prices on playoff games typically run 2 to 4 times face value. For regular season games against lower-demand opponents, prices often drop below face value on the secondary market in the days before kickoff.
Getting Tickets
Rams games are sold through Ticketmaster; Chargers games through SeatGeek. Concerts and special events are sold through Ticketmaster, the official SoFi Stadium partner. For sold-out events, Ticketmaster's Fan-to-Fan Verified Resale is the safest secondary option. Avoid buying at-venue from unofficial sellers at any event.
Arrival Times
Lots open 3 to 4 hours before NFL kickoff. For concerts, lots open 2 to 3 hours before showtime. The Hollywood Park campus surrounding SoFi fills quickly for sold-out events — arriving 90 minutes before kickoff or showtime avoids the worst traffic backup on Century Blvd. Transit riders on the Metro K Line should plan for the same early arrival.
Parking for Events
Official SoFi lots run $40 to $60 for regular events and $80 to $100 for NFL games and major concerts. Pre-purchase through the SoFi app or ParkWhiz — lots sell out for popular events. Century Blvd private lots often list $10 to $20 cheaper if booked a week out. The Metro K Line drops at Westchester/Veterans station, about a 15-minute walk to the gates.
Seating by Event Type
For NFL games, C100 midfield sections near the 50-yard line are the premium pick. The 200 Club level includes lounge access and in-seat food service. The 300 level is the best value tier with solid elevated angles. For concerts, floor and 100-level sections nearest the stage are standard. The 300 level gives a clear full-stage sightline at a lower price than 100-level sideline seats.
