SoFi Stadium: Complete Venue Guide

SoFi Stadium opened in 2020 after a $5.5 billion construction - the most expensive stadium ever built at the time. It houses both the LA Rams and LA Chargers, sits at the center of the Hollywood Park campus, and holds 70,240 for NFL games. The ETFE roof covers the seating bowl while leaving the sidelines open to the outside air, which gives it the feel of an outdoor stadium from inside. The Infinity Screen by Samsung wraps around the entire field-of-play at eye level, which is genuinely disorienting the first time you see it in person. SoFi has hosted Super Bowl LVI in 2022, WrestleMania, major concert tours including Taylor Swift and Beyonce, and will serve as an Olympics venue in 2028.

Parking

SoFi Stadium parking spreads across multiple lots surrounding the Hollywood Park campus. General parking starts at $40-$60 for regular events. NFL games and major concerts push prices to $80-$100 and lots sell out - pre-purchase through the SoFi Stadium app or ParkWhiz well before game day. Lots open 3-4 hours before NFL kickoff, which is when tailgating starts. Century Blvd and other nearby streets have private lots that often list $10-$20 cheaper if you book a week out.

Seating

SoFi Stadium has five seating levels: 100 (field level), 200 (SoFi Club), 300 (mezzanine), 400 (upper), and 500 (highest). The C100 sections near the 50-yard line command the highest prices and the best NFL sightlines. The 200 Club includes lounge access and premium food. For concerts, the floor and 100-level sections closest to the stage are standard picks. The 300 level is the value tier - elevated, with solid views and much lower prices than the 100s. The Infinity Screen wraps the field at eye level so even the 500s don't feel disconnected from the action.

Getting There

Located at 1001 Stadium Dr in the Hollywood Park campus. Accessible from the 405, 105, and 110 freeways. The Metro K Line (Downtown Inglewood and Westchester/Veterans stations) is within walking distance. Extensive rideshare pickup/dropoff zones are available. Free shuttle service operates from nearby lots on game days.

SoFi enforces the NFL clear bag policy: one clear bag no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" plus one small clutch (4.5" x 6.5"). No backpacks, camera bags, or opaque purses. Security lines move faster if your bag is ready to open before you reach the checkpoint.
Can you tailgate at SoFi Stadium?+
Yes. Lots open 3-4 hours before NFL games and tailgating is allowed in designated areas. Grills are permitted but open flames directly on asphalt are not - bring a mat or use the charcoal areas. The Hollywood Park retail district also has restaurants and bars for pre-game if you skip the parking lot scene.
Where are the best seats at SoFi Stadium?+
For NFL games, C100 midfield sections give you the classic 50-yard-line view - premium price, best sightlines. The 200 Club level adds lounge access and in-seat food service. The 300 level is the best value tier: elevated views, solid angles on the action, and prices well below the 100s. For concerts, floor and 100-level sections nearest the stage are the standard call.
Is there food at SoFi Stadium?+
SoFi Stadium has concessions on every level plus full sit-down restaurants in the SoFi Club (200 level). The club restaurants are only accessible with a club-level ticket. For everyone else, concession stands are spread across the 100, 300, 400, and 500 sections - most items run $14-$20, drinks similar. At 70,240 seats, lines stack fast at halftime. Go during the first or third quarter instead and you will clear a stand in a few minutes. The Hollywood Park retail district outside the stadium gates also has restaurants if you want a real meal before you go in.
What teams play at SoFi Stadium?+
SoFi Stadium is the home of two NFL teams: the LA Rams and the LA Chargers. Both teams share the stadium for their home schedules, with roughly 8 home games each per regular season. The stadium's shared calendar also includes major concerts, the FIFA World Cup 2026, and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
When did SoFi Stadium open?+
SoFi Stadium opened in August 2020, though it hosted its first games without fans due to COVID-19 restrictions. The first game with a full crowd was in September 2021. Construction began in 2016 and cost approximately $5.5 billion, making it the most expensive stadium ever built. The first major event with fans was a college football game between Alabama and USC in September 2021.
Is SoFi Stadium indoors or outdoors?+
SoFi Stadium is an indoor-outdoor hybrid. A fixed translucent ETFE canopy covers the entire seating bowl and field, keeping rain and direct sun off fans and players. However, the sideline areas are open to outside air - the stadium is not climate controlled and temperatures inside closely match outside conditions. It is best described as a covered outdoor stadium. There is no retractable roof.
How far is SoFi Stadium from LAX?+
SoFi Stadium is approximately 3 miles from Los Angeles International Airport, making it one of the most airport-accessible major stadiums in the US. By rideshare, the trip takes 8-15 minutes in normal traffic. The K Line connects directly to the Aviation/LAX station (with free shuttle to LAX terminals) and to the C Line (Green Line) at Crenshaw/LAX for connections to other parts of the Metro system.
What time do gates open at SoFi Stadium?+
SoFi Stadium gates typically open 90 minutes before kickoff for NFL games. For major concerts, gates open 60-90 minutes before showtime - check your specific event on the SoFi Stadium website for exact times. Tailgate lots open 3-4 hours before NFL games. The SoFi app also works on the stadium network and is the primary tool for mobile ticketing, in-seat food ordering (available to club-level ticket holders), and real-time parking navigation.
Does SoFi Stadium have a lost and found?+
Yes. SoFi Stadium operates a lost and found service. During an event, check with the nearest guest services booth - they are located at each gate and throughout the concourse. Items left in parking lots or on the Hollywood Park campus should be reported to Hollywood Park security, which operates separately from the stadium's guest services team.
