Is Hollywood Park the same as the old racetrack?

Yes. The current Hollywood Park development is built on the site of the former Hollywood Park Racetrack, which operated from 1938 to 2013 and hosted prestigious horse races including the Hollywood Gold Cup. After the track closed, the 300-acre property was acquired by the Kroenke family, who cleared it for the current mixed-use project. SoFi Stadium and YouTube Theater now occupy roughly the same footprint as the old grandstands and infield.

Who owns Hollywood Park?

Hollywood Park is developed and owned by HKS Holdings, the development entity controlled by Stan Kroenke, the billionaire owner of the LA Rams. Kroenke Sports and Entertainment also owns SoFi Stadium and YouTube Theater. The Trillium dining and retail district sits between them along the same path.
