Types of Events at Kia Forum
Major Concerts
Pop, rock, hip-hop, Latin, and country tours make the Kia Forum one of their standard LA stops. The 17,500-seat circular bowl works for nearly any stage setup.
Tip: For center-stage concert setups, sections 101-103 (stage left) and 119-121 (stage right) give a better angled view than the center-facing sections.
Comedy Shows
Stand-up specials and comedy tours use the Kia Forum for large-format tapings. Several major Netflix and streaming specials have been filmed here.
Tip: For comedy, center sections in the lower bowl (109-113) are the best pick. The comedian plays to center camera and center audience.
Award Ceremonies
The Kia Forum hosts Grammy pre-ceremonies, industry award shows, and entertainment industry events throughout the year.
Tip: Award shows use the full arena floor as staging. Lower bowl sideline sections often have better angles to floor activity than center-facing sections.
Special Events
Boxing, wrestling, UFC events, family shows, Disney on Ice, and large-scale corporate events fill the Kia Forum calendar throughout the year.
Tip: For boxing and center-stage events, the floor is reconfigured - always check the specific event seat map before buying floor or lower bowl tickets.
Concerts at Kia Forum
The Kia Forum books concerts as its primary use, unlike arenas with permanent sports tenants. That means more available dates and one of the densest concert calendars in Southern California. Major touring acts that play multiple Los Angeles dates often use the Kia Forum for at least one stop.
The venue is managed by Madison Square Garden Entertainment, the same company that operates MSG in New York. That relationship brings major bookings that otherwise might go to competing arenas. Artists who sell out multiple nights at MSG often do the same at the Kia Forum.
For sold-out shows, check Ticketmaster's resale listings or official fan-to-fan transfers. The Kia Forum does not use will-call for most events - have your mobile tickets ready before entering.
Getting Tickets
Kia Forum tickets are sold through Ticketmaster, the official ticketing partner. Check the Kia Forum website for the full event calendar and direct purchase links. For sold-out events, Ticketmaster's Fan-to-Fan Verified Resale is the safest secondary option. Avoid buying at the door from unofficial sellers.
Arrival Times
Doors open 90 minutes before most events. For sold-out concerts, arrive at least 60 minutes before showtime if you pre-purchased parking. Manchester Blvd and Prairie Ave back up significantly. Arriving early also means shorter security lines and time to find your section before the opener starts.
Parking for Events
Official on-site lots have approximately 3,100 spaces at $30 to $60 per event. Pre-purchase through Ticketmaster or ParkWhiz to lock in your spot. Private lots within a 10-minute walk start around $20 when booked in advance. The Metro K Line stops at Downtown Inglewood station, roughly 0.8 miles from the venue.
Seating by Event Type
For concerts, lower bowl sections 101-103 and 119-121 angle toward the stage and offer the best sightlines. For comedy, center lower bowl sections 109-113 are the sweet spot. Upper bowl row 1 in non-stage-end sections gives surprisingly strong views given the steep grade. Sections directly behind the stage are the ones to avoid regardless of level.
