Kia Forum Seating Sections
Every section at Kia Forum, with pricing context, what it is best for, and what most people get wrong.
Floor - General Admission or Reserved Rows
Floor configuration changes by show. Some events are standing GA pit, others have reserved rows. Check your event listing before buying - GA floor requires arriving early to get close. Reserved floor rows 1-10 put you inside 40-50 feet of the stage.
Lower Bowl - Sections 101-121
The lower bowl wraps the floor in 21 sections. Sections 101-103 (stage left) and 119-121 (stage right) angle toward center stage and give the best elevated view. Center sections 109-113 face the stage directly. All 20 rows stay within comfortable viewing distance.
Club Level
Club level includes access to the Kia Forum's indoor lounge areas with upgraded food and bar service. In-seat service is available. The view from club level is elevated above the lower bowl and angled well for most configurations. Premium pricing reflects the amenity package more than the view.
Upper Bowl - Sections 201-221
The upper bowl is steep - which works in your favor. Row 1 of the 200s sits notably closer to the floor than you might expect. The circular bowl means no upper bowl section is more than 180 feet from the stage. Sections directly behind the stage (207-215) are the ones to avoid - sightlines suffer for stage-facing setups.
Best Seats by Event Type
Concerts
The Kia Forum is a circular room optimized for acoustic performance. The angle to center stage matters more than the row number. Section 101 in the lower bowl gives you a better experience than section 109 in the same level for most stage setups because of how the stage faces.
Comedy Shows
Comedy shows typically use a simple center-stage mic setup. For these events, center sections in any level outperform angled sections. The lower bowl center rows 1-10 are the sweet spot for price-to-view ratio.
Award Shows & Special Events
Award shows use the full arena floor as staging space. Lower bowl sections along the sideline (around 105 and 117) often have better angles to the main stage and the floor activity than center-facing sections.
What Most People Get Wrong
101-103 and 119-121 Are the Secret Lower Bowl Picks
Most first-timers buy center lower bowl assuming it is best. But sections 101-103 (house left) and 119-121 (house right) angle toward center stage and give you a profile view that the center sections do not. You see the performer facing you rather than in profile. This is the difference that venue regulars know.
Upper Bowl Row 1 is Closer Than You Think
The Kia Forum upper bowl is steep enough that the first two rows of the 200s sit surprisingly close to the sightline of the lower bowl back rows. Before writing off the upper bowl entirely, look at what the price difference is versus lower bowl back rows. Often you get a similar view for $40-$60 less.
GA Floor: Arrive 60 Minutes After Doors for 15-20 Rows Back
If you have GA floor tickets and are not trying to be front row, arriving about 60 minutes after doors open usually means you settle in 15-20 rows from the barrier. The people who get front row arrive 2-3 hours after doors. Decide how close you want to be before you plan your arrival.
Club Level is About Amenities, Not the View
The club level view is not dramatically better than lower bowl back rows. The premium is for the lounge access, in-seat service, and the nicer bathroom situation. If those things matter to you, it is worth it. If you just want a good view, lower bowl sections 101-113 are a better use of the same budget.
Check the Stage Orientation Before You Buy
The Kia Forum sets the stage along one side of the circular bowl for most concerts. The stage-facing sections are the premium picks. Sections behind the stage are the ones to avoid regardless of level. Check the official venue seating map for your specific event - stage position changes the entire value equation.
