How Kia Forum Seating Works
The Kia Forum is a circular bowl originally built for the Lakers in 1967. Its defining feature for ticket buyers is that the stage occupies one side of the circular room. Sections directly facing the stage get the most coveted tickets. Sections continuing around the arc get a progressively side or rear angle.
The compact circular design means every seat sits within approximately 200 feet of center stage. Even upper bowl section 234 is not dramatically further than arena-style venues where cheap upper deck seats are 300+ feet away.
The four levels: the floor (GA or reserved rows), the lower bowl (sections 101-136), the club level (premium with lounge access), and the upper bowl (sections 201-235, steep grade). The steep upper bowl grade is actually a positive — it means the first rows of the upper bowl have a clear sightline to the stage with no heads blocking the view.
View From My Seat: Floor
Floor (GA or Reserved Rows)
$150–$500+You are inside the event, not watching it. For GA, you are standing within 20-50 feet of the stage. Reserved floor rows 1-10 put you 30-50 feet from the performer at eye level. The stage is large in your field of vision. You will not see a wide angle of the full production — you see the performer up close with screens filling your peripheral vision.
View From My Seat: Lower Bowl
Section 101
$100–$280Section 101 sits at the stage-right angle of the lower bowl, angling toward center stage. The stage faces you and slightly to your right. You see the performer from a 3/4-angle profile — not dead center, but a view that arena regulars consider better than front-on. Distance to the stage from row 1 is roughly 40-50 feet. The full stage setup is visible, and you can read facial expressions from the front 10 rows.
Section 102
$100–$270Section 102 is adjacent to 101 and shares nearly the same stage-right angle. The view is slightly more center-facing than 101. Both sections are among the most sought-after in the lower bowl for concerts because the angle gives you a profile view of the performer facing the center stage. Row 1 sits approximately 45-55 feet from the stage.
Section 103
$90–$250Section 103 continues the stage-right arc from 101 and 102. Still considered a premium angled pick. The angle to center stage is slightly wider than 101 but remains a strong sightline. Row 1 in section 103 sits roughly 50-60 feet from the stage. Stage details are clearly visible and screen coverage is excellent from any row.
Section 106
$80–$200Section 106 sits between the premium stage-right angle sections (101-103) and the center-facing sections (110-118). It has a mild angled view toward center stage. Row 1 puts you roughly 60 feet from the stage. The sightline is clean with no obstructions. Section 106 is a reliable mid-range lower bowl pick — better angle than center for most concert setups at a noticeably lower price.
Sections 110–118 (Center Lower Bowl)
$100–$280Center lower bowl sections face the stage directly. You are looking straight at the performer front-on. Distance from row 1 to the stage is roughly 50-70 feet depending on the exact section. These sections command premium prices because of name recognition but the profile angle of 101-103 and 119-121 is generally preferred by regulars for concerts. For comedy and award shows, center is the correct choice.
Sections 119–121 (Stage Left Angle)
$100–$280Sections 119, 120, and 121 are the stage-left mirror image of sections 101-103. You see the performer from a 3/4-angle profile from the left side. The view is comparable to 101-103 and considered equally strong by arena regulars. Row 1 in section 119 sits approximately 45-55 feet from the stage. These are among the most coveted seats for concerts.
Section 125
$60–$150Section 125 sits further around the stage-left arc from sections 119-121. The angle to center stage has widened noticeably. You are looking at the stage from a side perspective. Row 1 is still in the lower bowl within comfortable view. Section 125 typically prices below the premium sections, making it a solid budget lower bowl option if you do not need a front-facing view.
Section 127
$55–$140Section 127 extends further along the stage-left arc from 125. The sightline is a side angle to the stage. You can see the full stage from this distance but you are viewing it from the side rather than front-facing. Lower bowl proximity is the main advantage — you are still within 150 feet of the stage. Pricing runs noticeably below center sections.
Section 129
$50–$120Section 129 is one of the best budget picks in the lower bowl. It sits on the side arc of the bowl and offers a side-angle view toward the stage. The view is not front-facing but you are still in the lower bowl within roughly 150-180 feet of center stage. Front rows of section 129 are surprisingly close relative to the price. Compare the actual distance to back rows of the center sections before writing it off.
Section 130
$50–$120Section 130 is adjacent to 129 and shares nearly the same side-arc view. It offers a side-angle view of the stage from lower bowl proximity. Front rows in 130 put you at approximately the same distance from the stage as back rows in the center lower bowl sections but at a fraction of the price. The tradeoff is angle, not distance.
Section 134
$45–$110Section 134 sits further around the bowl arc toward the rear. The angle to the stage is wide — more side-stage than front-facing. The lower bowl benefit (proximity) still applies compared to upper bowl. Stage visibility is clear with no obstructions. Pricing is among the lowest in the lower bowl.
Section 136
$40–$100Section 136 is near the end of the lower bowl arc on the stage-left side. It offers a wide side-angle to side-rear view of the stage. Still classified as lower bowl, still within the circular 200-foot design. If you just want to be on the floor level of the building, section 136 delivers that at a low price. Not the pick for events where sightline to the front of the stage matters.
View From My Seat: Club
Club Level
$200–$400+Club level sits between the lower and upper bowl. The view is elevated above lower bowl back rows by roughly 10-15 feet. The sightline is clean and angled down toward the stage. However, the view improvement over lower bowl back rows is not dramatic. The club level premium is almost entirely about amenities — lounge access, in-seat service, premium food and bar — not a meaningfully better view.
View From My Seat: Upper Bowl
Sections 201–206 (Upper Bowl Stage Right)
$40–$100Upper bowl sections 201-205 are the best value pick in the 200s. The steep grade puts the first two rows surprisingly close to the sightline of lower bowl back rows. Section 201-203 mirror the angle of lower bowl 101-103 and still face toward the stage-right angle. Row 1 in section 201 is noticeably higher than the lower bowl but the steep grade and close-in upper bowl geometry soften the distance. Section 206 continues along the right arc with a mid-upper view.
Section 206
$35–$90Section 206 sits in the upper bowl stage-right arc, one section past the premium 201-205 cluster. The view is from elevation with a side-angle toward the stage. Still a solid upper bowl pick if you are targeting the stage-right angle. The steep grade works in your favor — even row 5-6 in 206 provides an unobstructed elevated view.
Sections 211–213 (Upper Bowl Center)
$30–$75Sections 211-213 sit in the upper bowl center arc. If the stage faces toward sections 101-118, these sections are roughly center-rear and offer a full-arena perspective from elevation. You can see the entire production including lighting rigs and the overhead scoreboard in your peripheral view. The Kia Forum's steep upper bowl grade means row 1 in section 212 sits at a clear angle. Check stage orientation for your specific show — if the stage faces 101 direction, sections 211-213 are across-the-arena views.
Section 212
$30–$75Section 212 is in the upper bowl center arc. For events where the stage faces toward the 101-118 lower bowl, section 212 sits roughly opposite and offers a view from across the arena. Row 1 in section 212 is elevated above the concourse with a clean sightline. The steep grade means no obstructions even in the first few rows. The full-arena perspective from 212 is clear; the distance to the stage is simply longer than lower bowl options.
Section 213
$30–$75Section 213 is adjacent to 212 in the upper bowl center arc. Nearly identical view to 212 with a slight arc shift. From 213, you have a full view of the stage at upper bowl elevation. The broad sightline covers the entire arena floor and gives you context for the full production scale that front-lower-bowl seats cannot provide. The trade is proximity for overview.
Section 227
$25–$65Section 227 sits in the upper bowl stage-left arc, further around the bowl from the center sections. It mirrors the position of lower bowl section 125 but from the upper level. The view is a side angle from elevation. The Kia Forum circular design keeps distances relatively consistent throughout the upper bowl, so 227 is not dramatically further from the stage than 201. Budget upper bowl option with a side perspective.
Section 234
$20–$60Section 234 is near the rear arc of the upper bowl, among the most affordable seats in the Kia Forum. The steep upper bowl grade still provides clear sightlines from row 1. You are viewing the stage from a wide angle and full upper bowl elevation. The full arena is visible from section 234 — you can see the stage, the floor, the lighting setup, and the scoreboard simultaneously. If the goal is to attend the event at minimum cost with a clear view, 234 works.
